The Department of Oil and Gas Refining Techniques, in cooperation with the State University of Sumi Ukraine, held a scientific course entitled “Sustainable biological technology for the production of biofuels for the protection of the environment” at the Hall of Continuing Education of the Samawah Technical Institute of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and attended the course electronically (d. Yavihan Bataltsev Vladimrovig) from Sumi State University of Ukraine and attending the teaching (Idris Hamoudi Ahmed) Head of Refining Techniques at the Institute, in which the number of members of the Institute participated.
The course dealt with a number of topics including biomass, bio-hydrogen and the production of fourth-generation biofuels, which are the least harmful and best productive of biofuels.
The course aims to identify modern biomass biofuels production technology and generations of biomass fuel production, most notably biohydrogen production methods and types, as well as the exploitation of organic and biomass waste and biomass conversion into clean, environmentally friendly fuels as an alternative to fossil fuels, thereby contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
