Under the supervision of the Dean of Al-Samawah Technical Institute, Prof. Sabah Muhammad Al-Mutawaki, and within the framework of cooperation between the university and society, the Department of Building and Construction Technologies at Al-Samawah Technical Institute at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling Center at the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, organized a series of lectures in the Continuing Education Hall on intellectual extremism and instilling sound values in souls, in the presence of the head and members of the aforementioned department and a number of students of the institute.
The lectures included a number of topics, including defining intellectual extremism and its causes, promoting the values of moderation, and the role of the family in protecting children from extremism.
The lectures aim to raise awareness about intellectual extremism, its causes and negative effects on individuals and society, spreading the culture of moderation, intellectual balance and tolerance, and enabling families to protect their children from intellectual deviation.
