The Samawah Technical Institute at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organized a humanitarian visit to the Al-Baraem Orphanage in Al-Muthanna Governorate, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The visit was under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Sabah Mohammed Al-Mutawgi, and included the participation of the Accounting Techniques Department, the Media and Government Communication Division, and a number of faculty members and students.

In addition to the orphanage, the visit also included a group of children with special needs. A joint event was organized, bringing together residents of the Al-Baraem Orphanage and the Al-Amal and Al-Raja Institutes for the Deaf and Mute. They were all gathered in one hall for humanitarian and recreational activities.

The initiative included the distribution of winter clothing and shirts to 100 children, according to pre-prepared lists. A meal was also prepared, featuring dishes, cakes, and refreshments. Recreational activities were organized, bringing joy and happiness to the children.

The institute’s delegation conveyed the dean’s greetings to the center’s administration, while the directors of the institutes and the director of special needs care expressed their gratitude to the deanship, professors, and students of the institute who participated in this humanitarian campaign.

This visit aimed to promote the principle of social solidarity and openness to state and community institutions, support those in need, and create a positive atmosphere that fosters hope and love among the children, as well as their effective integration into society.

This initiative is part of a series of humanitarian activities that the Samawah Technical Institute continues to organize, affirming its commitment to social responsibility and the consolidation of noble humanitarian values.
