The Community Health Technologies Department, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division at the Samawah Technical Institute, held an awareness activity entitled “Together to Eliminate Violence Against Women – Causes, Effects, and Solutions,” during which awareness posters were distributed.
The activity aimed to highlight the phenomenon of violence against women, considered one of the most serious social problems threatening societal stability and hindering human development. This was achieved by introducing students to the concept of violence and its various forms, explaining its direct and indirect dimensions, and clarifying the social, economic, and cultural factors that contribute to the exacerbation of this phenomenon.
This activity stems from the educational and humanitarian role of educational institutions in promoting community awareness and instilling ethical values.
It also emphasizes the importance of concerted efforts between individuals and governmental and community institutions to reduce these phenomena and build a secure and stable society based on respect for human dignity and the achievement of sustainable development.
