



The Board of Directors of the Samawah Technical Institute held its fifth open meeting for the 2025-2026 academic year, chaired by Professor Dr. Sabah Mohammed Al-Mutawki, Dean of the Institute, and attended by all board members, in the meeting hall.
The Dean opened the meeting by welcoming the board members and commending their ongoing efforts in overseeing the Institute’s affairs and improving academic and administrative performance, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of the Middle Euphrates Technical University.
The meeting’s agenda included discussions on several important topics, most notably:
Directives from the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and a review of the first semester exam results and pass rates for second-year students.
Implementation of the Ministry and University directives to suspend and halve the online application process for doctoral studies.
Discussion of evening studies matters, including reviewing the number of students covered by social security, organizing faculty assignments in the evening studies program, and ensuring that the maximum number of hours per week for faculty members assigned administrative duties is twelve (12) hours.
Preparations are underway for the first semester exams for first-year students in both the morning and evening programs.
Discussion of student volunteer initiatives and their role in fostering a spirit of cooperation and belonging within the institute.
At the conclusion of the session, Professor Dr. Al-Mutawki expressed his gratitude and appreciation to his assistants, members of the Board of Directors, faculty members, and all staff of the institute, commending their dedicated efforts and wishing them continued success in serving the educational process and achieving the goals of the Middle Euphrates Technical University.
