The al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organized a training course titled: “The Role of Accounting in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” As part of its development programs aimed at keeping pace with digital transformations and enhancing the efficiency of academic staff, the Department of Accounting Technologies at the Technical Institute / Samawah, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held a specialized training course titled:
“The Role of Accounting in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” with the participation of a number of the department’s staff and students.
The course was delivered by Dr. Ammar Saad, who reviewed the major transformations taking place in the field of accounting in light of the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies. He highlighted the role of automation in improving the accuracy of financial data and accelerating the completion of accounting processes, as well as supporting decision-makers with accurate and timely information.
The course also addressed the challenges facing the accounting profession in the digital era, emphasizing the importance of developing the technical and professional skills of accountants in line with modern labor market requirements. In addition, it presented several practical applications of artificial intelligence in the accounting field.
The course aimed to enhance participants’ awareness of the importance of integrating modern technologies into accounting practices and to develop their ability to work with intelligent systems. This contributes to improving institutional performance and elevating the quality of financial outputs, in support of digital transformation and the achievement of sustainable development goals
