Definition

It is an administrative formation under the title (Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Unit) concerned with communicating with final stage students and graduates and qualifying them through a set of programs and workshops. It is also concerned with building bridges of interaction between the student and the labor market represented by the government sector and the local and international private sector and marketing them to it, which makes this unit contribute to building an advanced society on which all state institutions rely to keep pace with practical developments and update the information provided to the student in order to develop his capabilities that will be employed in the future to serve our beloved country.

General Objective

The unit aims to help final stage students and graduates of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University / Samawah Technical Institute from various specializations to develop and build their personal, scientific, practical and applied capabilities and their life skills in a manner consistent with the labor market, which gives them the opportunity to compete to obtain jobs after graduation in both the government and private sectors locally or internationally and work to spread the culture of the importance of the private sector and reduce the burden on the public sector.
The strategy of the division: Qualification, Employment and Follow-up
The strategy of the unit is to prepare specialized studies that contribute to identifying the strengths and weaknesses of our university graduates and their educational path, and to determine their areas of opportunity in the labor market and to monitor current and future threats. The Qualification and Employment Unit also contributes to preparing accurate studies based on scientific foundations for student and graduate databases and the unemployment rate in them, and to understanding the types of operating institutions and the differences between them, and to knowing the elements that help in how to drive the wheel of success and progress for different operating institutions.
The vision of the Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Unit:-
Developing and building the scientific, practical and personal skills and capabilities of students of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University / Samawah Technical Institute in a manner that is consistent with the local and international requirements of the labor market.
The objectives of the Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Unit:-
Guiding and guiding students and graduates to the importance of their various scientific specializations in which they have been accepted.
Preparing scientific studies on curricula that contribute to their development to ensure their suitability for the labor market.
Communicating with the scientific and cognitive development taking place in the world.
Introducing participants to the importance of the rehabilitation, employment and follow-up unit.

Introducing participants to the extent and strength of the student trainee’s impact on the reputation of the institution and its production.

Communicating with the scientific departments and units within the Middle Euphrates Technical University / Samawah Technical Institute and obtaining a working paper that includes the labor market for each specialty within the public and private sectors.

Preparing and implementing training programs and workshops for students and graduates of the Middle Euphrates Technical University / Samawah Technical Institute in line with the labor market.

Opening communication channels with government institutions and the private sector and building bridges of communication between graduates of various specializations and the labor market.
Following up on students after their appointment in government institutions and the private sector and evaluating the extent of benefit from their specializations.
