Lending Services
- Issue borrowing cards for staff and students
- Return date tracking & renewal
- Daily lending of 50+ books for research
Management & Reader Services
- Daily reading hall open 8:00 AM till end of duty
- Annual statistics & registration committee management
- Liaison with department heads to acquire new resources
Prominent Events & Activities
Book Fairs
Annual two-week book fair on Victory Day (Dec 9) in collaboration with publishers. Also, scientific departments’ production exhibition on University Day.
Cultural Events
Annual cultural festival of Al-Furat Al-Awsat University hosted in the library hall, flower exhibition on University Day, and career workshops for graduates.
Training Workshops
Library management and archiving (digital/paper), shelf arrangement, and advanced Koha system training.
Hosting Committees
The library hosts annual student registration committee for over a month, providing an ideal environment for admission procedures.

Reading Hall
Open daily from 8:00 AM until the end of official working hours for writing research, exam revision, offering computers, internet, and a quiet academic atmosphere.
Infrastructure Development
Under the supervision of the Dean’s office and direction of Dr. Sabah Al-Matouki, the library was rebuilt and furnished in 2023 with modern computers and printers, becoming a cultural beacon.
