Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organizes a scientific visit to the Oil Pipelines Company (Samawa Depot)

Under the direct supervision of the Dean of Al-Samawah Technical Institute, Prof. Sabah Muhammad Al-Mutawaki, the Department of Oil and Gas Refining Technologies at Al-Samawah Technical Institute at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, and within the principle of joint cooperation between universities and the industrial sector, organized a scientific visit for students of the aforementioned department to the Oil Pipelines Company – Samawa Depot, accompanied by the Head of the Department and the Public Relations Officer at the Institute, where the visiting delegation was received by the Director of Al-Samawah Depot Department, Engineer Muhammad Badr Ghazi, and the Deputy Director of the Central Operations Authority, Mr. Ghiath Hassan Muhammad, and Mr. Kazem Abdul Hamza, Head of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Meters Division.
The visit comes within the mechanism of systematic training for students, where a lecture was given on occupational safety in the oil sector and students were trained practically in the warehouse on the unit of ownership transfer meters, loading bridges, pumping and storage operations, which are related to the curricula.
This training is considered exceptional and new of its kind, so that the department’s outputs will be specialized staff who possess the skills and capabilities in the workplace.
