The Department of Information and Communications Technology, in collaboration with the Information Technology Division of the Samawah Technical Institute of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University in the Hall of Continuing Education, held a scientific workshop entitled “Data mining and knowledge discovery”, which was attended by a number of members and students of the Institute.
The workshop addressed a number of topics where the concept of data mining is an analytical process aimed at extracting valuable information from large data sets using a range of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms, which data scientists seek to transform raw data into meaningful patterns and trends that can be used to make strategic decisions.
Data exploration plays a pivotal role in various industries from finance to health care, and helps improve processes, target customers, and develop products. How data exploration takes place as well as the concept of knowledge discovery.
The workshop aims to learn about the concept of data exploration and knowledge discovery (Data mining and knowledge discovery) and how to discover knowledge and its importance in the current situation as well as face challenges and the future of data exploration
