



The Oil Drilling and Production Department at the Samawah Technical Institute, part of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, held a training course titled “Public State Utilities” in the Continuing Education Hall. The course was attended by a number of faculty members from various departments within the institute.
The course included an introductory overview of the concept of public utilities, followed by a review of the different types of public utilities in the country, along with practical examples illustrating their operations and their role in serving the community.
The course aimed to clarify that public utilities encompass all state-run bodies and institutions that provide essential services to citizens, meeting their needs, regulating their affairs, and safeguarding their interests. It emphasized that a public utility is any activity or entity from which citizens benefit continuously and regularly.
