In the context of strengthening joint scientific and academic cooperation between Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and the Gulf College in the Sultanate of Oman, a number of faculty members from the Samawah Technical Institute participated in the international course entitled “Developing Faculty Skills,” which was held from January 25 to 28, 2026.
The institute was represented in this course by:

- Lecturer Lama Hassan Ali
- Lecturer Shaher Rikan
The course aimed to develop the academic and professional capabilities of faculty members by enhancing modern teaching skills, preparing and developing study plans, employing contemporary educational technologies, and developing academic communication skills and effective student assessment methods.
The scientific program included a series of lectures and practical workshops presented by a select group of specialized academics, amidst excellent scientific interaction from the participants.
The session witnessed broad academic participation from various countries, with clear international praise for the high caliber of the Iraqi participants, who demonstrated scientific excellence, active engagement, and positive contributions. The importance of continued scientific cooperation between the two sides was also emphasized, along with exploring new avenues for joint training courses and scientific conferences in the future, which will contribute to developing the educational process and strengthening international academic partnerships.
