Mission
The Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Samawa Technical Institute seeks to support women and activate their role in educational, research, and administrative fields through awareness and educational programs and initiatives that promote equal opportunities and support a safe and motivating university work environment.
We work on building effective community partnerships and innovative programs to elevate female staff and students.
Strategic Goals of the Unit
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor implementation of women’s empowerment policies and protect rights within the institution.
- Organize training courses on women’s leadership and mental health.
- Coordinate with academic departments to address challenges faced by female students.
- Provide academic and professional consultations for female faculty and administrative staff.
- Prepare periodic reports on equality and diversity indicators.
- Launch community initiatives supporting women in Al-Muthanna Governorate.
2024 Women Empowerment Report
The annual report highlights the unit’s achievements, community service initiatives, implemented workshops, and empowerment indicators within and outside the institute. It includes statistics on training and awareness programs that reached more than 350 women and girls.
