In line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, the Student Activities Division at the Samawah Technical Institute, in coordination with the Library Unit, organized an awareness campaign and an art exhibition as part of the “Iraq Biennale for Arts 2025\u20132030” project. The aim was to raise awareness of the project’s importance and its role in supporting the Iraqi artistic and cultural scene and strengthening national identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured a diverse showcase of students’ creative outputs, including drawings, designs, and handicrafts, as well as a display of several projects and innovations by students from engineering and petroleum disciplines, reflecting the students’ scientific and artistic skills and abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Sabah Mohammed Al-Mutouki, stated that the Iraq Biennale for Arts project represents an important platform for discovering young talents and developing creative abilities, in addition to its role in consolidating the cultural and artistic presence of educational institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth noting that the term “Biennale” is of Italian origin and means “every two years,” and is used to refer to artistic and cultural events and exhibitions that are held periodically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
