About the Department:
It is the department that was created for the academic year 2023-2024, which is concerned with graduating specialized medical cadres to work in kidney dialysis units, through which the blood is purified from waste, toxic substances and excess salts using an external device that resembles the human kidney in its working principle.
The Kidney Dialysis Department, known as dialysis, is one of the clinical medical branches that is concerned with training students on how to perform the artificial kidney dialysis process through a special device designed to replace the natural kidney and by using intravenous solutions prepared for the dialysis process in order to remove toxic substances and excess water in addition to dissolved substances from the blood for people who are unable to perform such functions normally, which is often called kidney failure.
Vision:
Graduating highly qualified medical cadres to help kidney failure patients and provide them with health and medical services during their study and practical training, and achieving the highest levels of scientific efficiency for graduates and qualified students to work in hospitals in general and dialysis units in particular.
Mission:
The Department of Dialysis Technology seeks to be the first pioneer in Iraq in graduating qualified medical cadres to work in specialized units of hospitals, namely dialysis units, in order to provide the best high-tech treatment services to serve our beloved governorate and meet the requirements of the current labor market.
Graduate Job Description:
The job description for graduates will grant a technical diploma certificate, and the graduate will be able to perform the following tasks:
1- Identify complications and problems of dialysis catheterization and control of communicable diseases.
2- Has experience in determining the correct time to start dialysis, the required number, and how to install a dialysis device.
3- His ability to dissect the kidneys in addition to giving appropriate medications to dialysis patients.
4- Assists the doctor in diagnostic, nursing and therapeutic procedures.
5- Use and maintain medical devices designated for diagnosis, treatment and care.

This laboratory is one of the important basic laboratories for students of the Department of Kidney Dialysis Technology, as it helps the student to become familiar with the subject of microbiology from a practical scientific perspective, as it helps the student to identify pathogens from different microorganisms.
This laboratory is one of the important basic laboratories for students of the Department of Kidney Dialysis Technology, as it helps the student to become familiar with the subject of anatomy and physiology from a scientific and practical perspective. It helps the student to identify the different organs of the body in addition to conducting some necessary tests related to his work in hospitals.
This lab helps enrich the student with all the information related to the importance and method of conducting clinical tests, identifying the laboratory equipment necessary to conduct them, and providing an initial idea of the occurrence of a disorder or malfunction in the functional performance of the body’s organs, which helps in accurate diagnosis.
This lab is one of the basic and important labs for students of the Department of Kidney Dialysis Technology, as it helps the student to become familiar with the subject of kidney dialysis technology by learning how kidney dialysis machines work and how the kidney dialysis process occurs. Kidney dialysis is the artificial process through which the blood is purified from waste, toxic substances and excess salts using an external device that resembles the human kidney in its working principle.
