Graduate Job Description
The graduate of this branch is qualified to work in the field of maintenance of devices and implementation of electrical and industrial foundations, and he can do the work of repairing machinery and winding electric motors. He is also able to install, operate, maintain and manage various electrical machinery and electrical household appliances, and can schedule and organize electrical maintenance workshops and prepare periodic maintenance work, and can monitor and follow up industrial production lines and follow up their work and operation.

Brief Description:
The Electronics Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Technology is one of the most important laboratories in the field of electronics in Iraq, and this laboratory is considered one of the basic laboratories and the cornerstone of the department’s laboratories because of its great importance in teaching students the basic concepts and principles of electricity.
Objective :
The student will be able to:
1. Use the basic electronic devices found in the laboratory
2. Connect electronic elements in simple electronic circuits
3. Recognize the specifications and features of electronic parts
4. Recognize and implement application circuits for some components

The Electrical Foundations Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Technology is one of the most important laboratories in the field of practical knowledge of electrical foundations (lighting) in addition to how to establish and install electrical machinery in Iraq, and this laboratory is one of the basic laboratories of the department laboratories because of its great importance in teaching first stage students the basic concepts and principles of electrical materials and wiring systems used in laboratories and homes and the establishment and installation of electrical machinery and methods of control and protection for different loads in the establishment.
Objective:
The student will be able to have a working knowledge of electrical foundations (lighting) as well as how to found and install electrical machinery.
Brief Description: The Digital Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Technology is one of the most important laboratories in the field of practical knowledge of control and types of gates in Iraq, and this laboratory is one of the basic laboratories of the department’s laboratories because of its great importance in teaching first stage students the concepts and basic principles of gate control.
Objective: The student should be able to operate digital circuits and analyze their circuits and be able to solve the problems encountered in the work of these logic circuits and be able to link these circuits to obtain a circuit with multiple characteristics
About the laboratory: – The laboratory consists of a set of PLC boards that are connected to a computer to program and apply it to the board. The lab has all the necessary lighting and occupational safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, first aid supplies, and wall hangings.
Objective : The laboratory aims to train students on how to use the PLC device, by recognizing the parts of the device, studying its characteristics, linking it to the computer and programming it
The maintenance and installation laboratories workshop in the Department of Electrical Technology is one of the most important laboratories in the field of various electrical maintenance work and to practice electrical technical work in tracking faults and learning how to repair them in Iraq, and this laboratory is one of the basic laboratories of the department laboratories because of its great importance in teaching second stage students the basic concepts and principles in winding electric motors of all kinds, peeling the plugs, making gaskets, high and low pressure transformers and other technical matters related to electricity networks.
Objective : The student should be able to:
1. Recognize the practical study of electrical transformers
2. Field conformity for the installation and maintenance of substations.
3. Maintenance, repair and operation of substation equipment (transformers), lines, switches, breakers and disconnectors.
The Electrical Networks Laboratory in the Department of Electrical Technology is one of the most important laboratories in the field of distribution, generation and transmission of electrical energy in Iraq, and this laboratory is one of the basic laboratories of the department’s laboratories because of its great importance in teaching second stage students the basic concepts of distribution, generation and transmission of electrical energy.
Objective:

The drawing laboratory in the Department of Electrical Technologies is one of the most important laboratories in the field of engineering and electrical drawing in Iraq, and this laboratory is considered one of the supporting laboratories of the department laboratories because of its great importance in teaching the second stage students the basic concepts and principles of AutoCAD drawing.
Objective
The student will be able to:
1. Use the different devices, tools and components used in the workshops
2. Gain skill and technical expertise in the field of various electrical maintenance work.
3. Gains self-confidence to practice electrical technical work in tracing faults and recognizing how to repair them
4. Recognize and identify various electrical and electronic components and how to use them in the construction of different circuits
The computing laboratory in the Department of Electrical Technology is one of the most important laboratories in computing applications in Iraq, and this laboratory is considered one of the supporting laboratories of the department laboratories because of its great importance in teaching the first stage students the basic concepts of IC3.
Objective:
1. Teaching the student the basics of the computer, the operating system and the most important commands
2. Teach the student to enter the AUTOCAD drawing program and get acquainted with the drawing interface, drawing and modification commands, and access to 3D drawing.
3. Introduce the student to the concept of viruses and ways to combat them
