Peace be upon Hussein, and upon Ali son of Hussein, and upon the children of Hussein, and upon the companions of Hussein.
Peace be upon you, and God’s mercy and blessings.
On the occasion of the remembrance of the uprising of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), we recall one of the greatest reformist revolutions in human history—a movement that was not a fleeting event, but rather an integrated project for reform, building awareness, and establishing the values of truth and justice.
The revolution of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) was profoundly and intrinsically linked to science and knowledge. He made combating ignorance and spreading awareness a fundamental goal of his blessed uprising. He stood firmly against deviation and corruption, sought to revive authentic values, educate people about their rights and duties, and establish the principles of freedom and human dignity.
Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) was a model of the divine scholar and the conscious educator. He drew from the school of Prophethood and Imamate, enriching the nation with his knowledge and wisdom. Numerous scholars, jurists, and narrators were his students, who contributed to transmitting the knowledge of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to subsequent generations.
Furthermore, his immortal uprising contributed to preserving the message of Islam from distortion and falsification. It laid the foundations of intellectual and cultural awareness that continues to serve as a beacon for free people and seekers of knowledge and learning across different times and places.
The school of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) teaches us that knowledge is inseparable from stance, and that true knowledge is coupled with courage, steadfastness in principles, and defending the truth regardless of the sacrifices involved. Thus, Karbala remains an eternal lesson in awareness, reform, and human dignity.
We ask God Almighty to grant us the success to follow the path of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), to make us among those who walk in his way in seeking knowledge, spreading awareness, and establishing truth. May He protect our beloved Iraq and its honorable people, and grant it enduring blessings of security, stability, and prosperity.
